The sculptural organic forms created by basketmaker Lise Bech are testimony to the natural versatility of her materials and the intricacies of her craft. Her home-grown willow is nurtured from 'bud to basket' to create this series of works inspired by the architecture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's The Hill House.
OPENING & CURATORIAL TALK Thursday 17th April, 6-8pm
Join us for the opening of the exhibition and to hear Charlotte Rostek, curator at The National Trust for Scotland's The Hill House discuss Lise Bech's work and her holistic approach to the traditional craft of basketmaking.
