Landscape has always been Sue's starting point for her work and the point to which she returns, whether it be naturally evolved or the result of human habitation and toil - an Indian street, a Scottish island, a tangled heap of fishing nets... Whenever possible she works directly from the landscape, within it, and it is perhaps this closeness of contact which reflects and generates her own way of exploring form, colour and textures through the use of mixed media.

Sue trained in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and won awards for her work in the Laing Art Cm[petition and the New EnglishArt Club. She has had residencies at Inniemore School of Painting on Mull, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and NT Wallington Estate as well as a Creative Partnership from Arts Council England.  She has exhibited work at RSW, Edinburgh, The Carthouse Gallery, Mull, An Tobar Art Centre, Mull and the 11th London Artists Book Fair at the ICA.
