Since gaining the acclaimed title of BBC Radio Scotland's Young Scottish Traditional Musician of the Year in 2002, Emily Smith is fast-becoming one of Scottish folk music's brightest exports. A singer, accordionist, songwriter and tunesmith, Emily draws from the traditions and history of her native Dumfries and Galloway Smith and her imaginative approach to instrumental arrangements give a contemporary edge to ancient songs.
 

Emily Smith has performed with John McCusker, Karine Polwart and Irish band North Cregg. She has also been included in the acclaimed 'Scottish Women' group featuring Scotland's top female vocalists and is a member of Scotland's 'folk orchestra' - The Unusual Suspects.

During this tour, Emily plays two dates on Mull and is joined by Steve Byrne on guitar, cittern and bouzouki, and Jamie McClennan on fiddle.
