Clay In Bloom (October 2005)

Clay in Bloom features the work of eighteen of Scotland's most talented ceramic artists who have produced individual pieces inspired by the mission statement of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh 'to explore and explain the world of plants'.

The exhibition forms part of the celebrations to mark the 30th anniversary of the Scottish Potters Association (SPA), an organisation which aims to promote the activities of potters and ceramicists. Clay in Bloom is touring throughout Scotland, displaying a collection of large and small works, functional and sculptural, free-standing and wall mounted, reflecting the sheer diversity of contemporary ceramic practice in Scotland today.
