Description
Present work concentrates on watercolours and colograph prints of architectural buildings and ruins, specialising in large triptychs.  Also offers a series of poetry and art Bard Cards that incorporate graphic collage and are sold at various outlets throughout Scotland.

Personal history/training
Background in journalism.  Awarded various prizes for poetry.  Completed periodic night classes in painting in Victoria, Canada.  Carla has taken part in many short courses on Mull including Flamenco dancing, collage, box making, reiki and Tibetan chanting.

Artist's statement
Carla is known locally for her combination of print, collage and poetry.  Paramount in both her art and poetry are the atmospheric quality of her work and the feelings evoked.  Richness of colour and imagery are important to, and evident in her work.  Also a chef, food figures prominently in her early work.  Not driven by any demons she creates because she simply enjoys the experience.
