Description of work
Recycled material from beach and home for assemblage and objects.  Currently making sculptural furniture in sycamore from the Ross of Mull and combining old wall-papers and wooden books as objects.

Personal history/training
Moved to the Isle of Mull after 9 years visiting and teaching at Inniemore School of Painting.
Masters Degree in Graphics Fine Art.
Further and Adult Education Teachers Certificate.
Lecturer in Art and Design.

Artist's statement
Thomas is best known for his beach combed sculpture, assemblage and furniture made from the flotsam and jetsam found on the coastline of Britain.  The sum/moon positive/negative have been a recurring theme.  Influences include Ben Nicholson and the St Ives Group.
