Dougie MacLean is one of Scotland’s most successful, respected and popular musicians. A singer, songwriter, composer and ‘magical’ performer, he is also a fine guitarist and fiddle player. His concerts, tours, albums, flim scores and the many cover versions of his songs have resulted in a dedicated worldwide following.
His latest album Inside the Thunder has just been released in the USA to great acclaim. Lydia Hutchison, editor of the influential Nashville Magazine Performing Songwriter describes him as “a master of writing songs with moving, melodic choruses that listeners will sing along with, finding a home right in the middle of the circle he’s created… Inside the Thunder will leave you feeling part of something magical.”
This concert marks a return to Mull in search of the distant past. Dougie will be spending a week on Mull covering the land that his forebearers would have worked and hopes to meet a few Mull MacLeans while he is here.
