Argyll Boxed Collection A selected exhibition of artists and makers from Argyll
Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry Terminal, Oban 17th January – 19th February 2007
The Argyll Boxed Collection, first shown in Gallery 1, An Tobar on the Isle of Mull is set to provide the centre piece for the Civic Reception to launch the Argyll & Bute Highland 2007 Programme on Thursday 16th January at the Caledonian MacBrayne Terminal in Oban.
This new, selected exhibition brings together 28 individual pieces, each created in a 12”x12”x6” framed box and forming a collection that reflects the range of professional practice in Argyll from Cardross to Tiree. “An Tobar is delighted to be presenting this impressive exhibition which demonstrates the wealth of talent within Argyll” says Lee Hendrick, Visual Arts and Crafts Officer at An Tobar Arts Centre. “It’s a very fitting exhibition to showcase the work of Argyll during the Year of Highland Culture” added Lee.
