Artist Anne Devine spent a month travelling to a selection of islands that surrounding Mull and returned to her studio at An Tobar/Bendoran Cottage each evening to develop work from her interactions with the land, sea, wildlife and people. Anne reached these islands by taking passage on a variety of seafaring boats from trip boats to fishing boats.

A painter who works in a range of 2D media which includes oil and waterbased paint on canvas, paper, and wood as well as printmaking, her work encompasses close observational studies of nature, landscape and human portraiture.
