In 2008, guitarist and singer, Ewan Robertson was the first guitarist to win the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year. Hailing from Carrbridge in Strathspey, he has been playing traditional music since an early age, attending ceilidhs in the village hall and listening to Capercaillie tapes in the back of his mum's Volkswagen Beetle! As well as solo gigs, he also plays with up and coming outfit Breabach.
