| Creative Scotland 2009 Ltd announces progress towards new Edinburgh home for Creative Scotland |

As part of its preparations for the transition to the new organisation, Creative Scotland 2009 Ltd has been considering the issue of accommodation. Creative Scotland is currently pursuing a proposal that would allow the relocation of staff from the Scottish Arts Council’s current premises at Manor Place, Edinburgh, to purpose-designed office space much better suited to the modern working practices and effective team working that will drive the new organisation.

| Creative Scotland invests in environment, health and education residencies |

Innovative residencies for artists working with communities in health, the environment and education have been announced as part of Creative Scotland’s Innovation Fund. Eleven new Partners residencies, which bring together practicing artists and diverse communities, will begin this year and continue for up to two years.

| Launch of Craft Festival Scotland |

Craft Festival Scotland, the first national festival celebrating craft in Scotland will be launched on Thursday 25th March 2010 in Dundee. Emerging from a five year research project, Past, Present & Future Craft Practice (PPFCP), based at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee, the festival aims to define a new relevance for craft in the 21st century.

| Artists' Film and Video Fund - Recipients Announced |

Scottish Screen and the Scottish Arts Council have announced the recipients of the 2009/2010 Artists’ Film and Video Fund. Visual Artists Gair Dunlop and James Houston, were each awarded £20,000 to create two major new pieces of moving image work that are ambitious, fresh and experimental.

| The Bike Shed - Volunteer Sign Up Day |

The Bike Shed, community arts centre in Inverness has now been open for almost two months and they are they are now looking to expand but to do so they need a group of dedicated volunteers. They have had lots of people expressing an interest in volunteering so they thought it would be a good idea to get everyone together for a 'Volunteer Sign Up Day' on Wednesday 24th March 2010.
