Poetry and text are at the heart of Brian's work. A fascination for letterforms was borne from early work as a graphic designer which gives rise to seeing letterforms in their own right. Assemblage, the artist's book and printmaking are also part of this practice.
Brian Thomas trained as a graphic designer and was a further education lecturer in Graphic Design and Art Facilitiator in Special Needs. He has completed an MA in Graphics/Fine Art and in 2002 moved from Essex to live on the Ross of Mull.
